Red Cross Elects Officers; Drive Over the Top At the annual meeting of the Polk County chapter of the Ameri can Red Cross held April 8th, at the American Legion hall, Thomas Hair was elected chairman; K. A. Bowen, vice chairman; Richard Williams, treasurer; Mrs. Ralph C. Sullivan, recording secretary; Mrs. .Paul Culberson, executive secre tary. Directors, John G. Land rum, Jr. Mrs. S. J. Craig, Mrs. L. L. Clippard, Capt. B. T. Perl man, Mrs. Norm D. Frost, Mrs. Robert C. Falconer, Max H. Fea gan, Loyd E. Westbrook, Mrs. C. R. Frost, co-chairmen of the fund drive, re ported that the minimum goal of $6,005 had been reached. The co ( hairmen were eager to point out that this was the minimum goal ana inat contrioutions were still lieing taken at the bank for those who still wanted to contribute. The co-chairmen in expressing appre ciation to the workers and contribu tors who made the fund drive a success, pointed out that Polk County was the second county to reach its minimum goal.
